Dual-layer DVD+R Disc is a derivative of DVD+R format standard, having two recordable dye layers. Total capacity reaches 8.5GB, almost doubling the capacity of a single layer disc. This means one side of a DVDR disc will hold up to 4 hours of DVD quality video. Dual-layer discs can be read on most DVD players that were oringinally designed for single-layer discs and also can be read on most DVD-ROM drives .
